Samantha Ann Bohnert
She graduated from Bemidji State University (Spring 2009) with an
various shows and festivals around the area.  She will be teaching
classes through Crow River Arts this May/June.

Samantha is grateful for her little studio space in the Post Farmers
Insurance building.  Someday, somewhere, Samplicity Art Hovel will
become a multiple-artist and community art space, with a gallery, a

Samantha Ann Bohnert was
born and raised in Glencoe, MN
and currently runs her own
studio/store, Samplicity Art
Hovel, just down the street from
Framed Expressions!  
Samantha is a multi-media
artist who enjoys  
household/nursery mural  
painting, woodworking,  
sculpture, assemblage, textile
work, printmaking, various work,
 commissioned works, and just
about anything else she can
think of or get her hands on.

This is a mural I
painted on a plain
metal 6-panel door.
look like a wooden
door with windows
that looked out to
some sort of garden
sceen. Due to the
segmented nature of
the sections that were
to be windows, I
decided to make the
edges look like stained
glass.
I painted with latex and acrylic paints and coated
the entire door with polycrylic to seal and
protect the surface. The entire painting took about
26 hours to complete.
